Great house in a fantastic location, well off the beaten track. Very well presented property with lots of nice little touches on arrival including some Welsh cakes and prosecco. Loads of space throughout and high standard of finish, we are already looking to book again

A wonderful week, A special place in an amazing setting. Days spent in the forest, conquering Snowdon (just under and hours drive away), Zipwiring and horse riding. There is so much to do in this part of Wales whatever the weather, I would highly recommend. We loved the house and will definitely return.

An incredible gem of a find! What a wonderful base for trail running and mountain biking for two families with active boys. Being in the middle of nowhere was an appeal and it didn’t disappoint!
The cottage has everything and more, with little extra touches of welcome wine and Welsh biscuits. We will absolutely be back!

We loved the cottage and had a brilliant weekend. We love mountain biking and this location was spot on. We’ve been to Coed before but never been able to cycle from the door.
Plus it was an amazing location. Hearing the cuckoos and seeing redstarts a definite highlight.
I’m sure we’ll be back

Thank you for a lovely week at Maes yr Eglwys Wen. The house was spotless when we arrived. It really is in a perfect location. The wood pellet boiler works amazingly well, we have never been so warm! The bike trails on the doorstep have been a huge hit, we are all going home exhausted. We would love to return soon

Thank you for giving us the chance to stay in such a beautiful tranquil cottage. We were in awe of the detail, finish and location, so much so that we decided to stay in and cook each night. Myew is perfectly situated for those wanting to go mountain biking at Coed-Y-Brenin with direct access to some of the trails. We will be looking to book again for same time next year.

Despite the weather we have all had a wonderful time at your cottage. We have been delighted with the cottage and we feel the photos in your advert do not do it justice, it is far more spacious than we thought it would be. We would love to come back some time in the summer so we will be looking to book again

I just wanted to say it was an absolute pleasure to stay at your house. Phil and I over the years have rented many houses for weekends/weeks away and we both completely agree that Maes-Yr-Eglwys is probably the best we have stayed in. Not only was the location perfect (the drive to it through the forest is really quite something) but the house itself is really great. You really have thought of everything as it is so comfortable, very warm! and really well equipped we kept walking around saying “I really like that” and “what a lovely touch”!!!!! Phil was even looking up pellet stoves on the internet on Friday night………..

I’ve stayed for one week at this beautiful property with 5 persons. We had a mountain bike holiday and used the house as our base to get to know the spectacular bike trails of North Wales. Big advantage is that the property is located at 200 meters from the famous Dragon’s Back trail of the Coed-y-Brenin bike park.
The house is equipped with all the things hungry bikers need when returning home – a hot shower, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, enough storage space, washing machine, dryer and a few nice spots to hang out and have a after ride beer, enjoying the great view. We were there in the beginning of June with exceptionally beautiful weather and we even had a barbecue with 6 other persons during the week – so we seated 11on the terrace (luckily not too many midges). Thanks Chris for having us at your beautiful holiday home. June 2015
Very happy with an amazing space, with such attention to detail. Eight family members all agreed very high standards throughout. May 2015
Gorgeous house, very well equipped; used the walks and bike trails straight from the door. Lovely and warm to come back and relax. Night walks in the silence and watching the hundreds of stars – beautiful. Thank you! February 2015
‘We were a group of 6 adults and our stay at this beautiful cottage exceeded our expectations. The location and the layout of the property was brilliant. All the furniture specially the appliances were newish and easy to use. The showers were very good.
Will strongly recommend others to visit.’ November 2014
‘Anyone looking for peace and quiet would have to go to a Hebridean island to beat Maes Yr Eglwys yet it’s only about 15 mins to Dolgellau. Very comfortable house and roomy enough for us and our 6 children’ . October 2014
‘We had a great time. The facilities were excellent, the kitchen equipped with everything we needed. We had a wonderful family holiday, enjoyed the forest and Dolgellau.’ October 2014
‘The property is lovely and very well equipped’. September 2014
